FIRM OVERVIEW


In 1987, after having served as marketing director at Leo A. Daly (the 4th largest A/E firm in the US), Carolyn E. Kenney decided to take matters into her own hands. Creating Kenney and Associates was the easy part. Spending the next 15 years to create an exceptional team to provide preeminent marketing consulting services to the A/E/C industry both nationally and internationally is what has made Kenney and Associates one of the leading marketing consulting firms in the country.


The primary goal of Kenney and Associates is to assist firms in winning new work. To that end, and through the use of cutting edge strategy development and implementation techniques, the firm has been instrumental in helping clients win literally billions of dollars of work. Recent notable project wins have included:

  • Olympic Village 2002 Games; Salt Lake Olympic Committee/University of Utah; $250M
  • Qualcomm/San Diego Padres Baseball Stadium; Larry Lucchino/City of San Diego; $285M
  • Fresno Community Medical Center; City of Fresno; $400M
  • Caltrans Headquarters' Building; Caltrans - Los Angeles; $171M

Over the years, Kenney and Associates has continued to be a leader in guiding marketing professionals in the A/E/C industry. And while the cornerstone of the firm has been to provide marketing consulting services to its customers, Kenney and Associates has branched out. In 1995, the firm began initiating search services for both technical and marketing positions, as favors for clients. In 2000, a formal search division was formulated. In 2001, this division expanded to include Human Resource Consulting.

Throughout the history of the firm, Kenney and Associates has collaborated with national entities to develop and produce products. In 2001, Kenney and Associates launched it's own products division to create and publish products to benefit the A/E/C industry.

Carolyn Kenney served for over 10 years as the editor of Practice Management Associates' A/E Marketing Journal (AEMJ). She has also published several books. Kenney and Associates' consulting staff organizes and speaks at conferences for national, regional and local chapters of many distinguished professional groups in the United States and Canada.
